Hilco Industrial wants bidders to be able to access all of our auctions. One tool we use to put equipment buyers in touch with our auctioneer is a webcast. You can hear the live audio of the auction and bid remotely with your telephone. These Hilcast auctions use Microsoft Live Meeting, a one-time download, to give remote users access to the auction. We recommend that users launch the auction on a Windows machine. The controls to bid with the phone are similar to those used in an ebay-style timed auction, where just pressing a button will register a bid. We ask that all remote bidders on a Hilcast auction confirm their bid to the room for won items, giving the participants onsite a chance to hear the off-site bidders.
