Next week’s auction of Aveos Fleet Performance, one of the world’s largest jet engine overhaul and test facilities, includes some pretty impressive equipment.
The Danobat blade tip grinder is an amazing machine designed to grind, deburr and measure fully assembled jet engine turbine rotor blade tips. By allowing a maintenance team to grind the blade tips of the rotor while they’re rotating at high speed, the machine simulates appropriate operating conditions for a perfect result. This Dantip R3-1500/2000 was built in 2004 and includes an IPO display system and Schenck Vibrocontrol 1100.
VAC AERO has been producing vacuum heat treating and brazing machinery since 1959, earning them numerous customer and quality system approvals from prime manufacturers in aerospace and other high-tech industries. The VaV 6072 HV-2 furnace offered at the Aveos auction features a roll-Ii parts holding carriage, Siemens panel controls and an Allen Bradley Panelview 550 PLC.
But perhaps the most unique feature of this auction is the vast array of jet engine repair tooling parts and testing equipment being offered. Literally several million dollars worth of tooling, including complete and partial sets of combustion tooling for many models; strip & build, repair and inspection tools; and engine tooling are available. Also available is a test cell and tooling and equipment which consists of the bellmouths, strong backs, adapters, stands and more. The high bypass turbofan jet engine testing cell produces 100,000 pounds of thrust and has been upgraded to a state-of-the-art ProDAS system. Testing systems for ignition, landing gear, oil and air flow, and bearings are also featured.
This is an extremely unique opportunity for MRO’s to upgrade their facilities. The Aveos auction takes place October 24 & 25 at 7171 Boul. Cote Vertu West., Dorval (near Montreal), Quebec. Or register to bid via webcast now.
