Adak Seafood Auction Unique Opportunity
Hilco will be holding a unique auction of seafood processing equipment on June 18. Adak Seafood, LLC operated the facility located on the island of Adak, the southernmost city in Alaska near the western end of the Aleutian Islands.
The 250,000-square-foot facility was updated in 2005 and was most recently operated by a major seafood producer that processed primarily cod, as well as halibut, sablefish, crab and pollock.
Over 500 lots will be offered, including nine fish sorting lines with conveyors, sorters and 35,000-gallon holding tanks. Nineteen pollock lines also include several heading machines and related equipment.
Multiple crab lines are also available, which include giller stations, cookers, coolers, dip glaze tanks, chillers and an ice flake machine. A cod liver oil processing line, other heading machines, freezers, mixers and generators will also be available.
Lots will be offered in various bulk arrangements, as well as individually. Buyers will be offered the opportunity to purchase all assets as a whole, complete lines, or individual pieces of machinery and equipment.
The location of this plant makes it very accessible to the many fishermen who operate in this abundant environment. The area is one of the largest contributors to the world’s supply of Bering Sea crab and Pollock. It has been made famous by the Discovery Channel reality show Deadliest Catch which depicts the events aboard fishing vessels in the Bering Sea during crab fishing season. Timely delivery of their catches to processing facilities such as this one is essential to the success of local fishermen.
Hilco's Vulkan Cup 2013 Event Another Huge Success
The 2013 Vulkan Cup Charity Golf Event took place at the Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa in Birmingham, Alabama April 11-13. Each spring, Hilco Industrial invites machinery dealers and partners to take part in this 3-day event, which includes golf on Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail courses, a charity fundraising event, outings, dinners, awards and more. Seventy-two golfers participated in this year’s event which generated over $30,000 for selected charities, the Purple Promise Foundation and Freedom Service Dogs of America. In its history, the Vulkan Cup has raised a total of over $170,000 for multiple charities. Hilco is proud to have sponsored this event for the past 7 years of its 13-year history, and we are grateful to all of our sponsors and participants for making it another success!
Auto Sports Unlimited Live Auction Highlights Hilco Capabilities
On October 9, 2012, Hilco Industrial conducted a live auction of the inventory and equipment of Auto Sports Unlimited, a former automotive recycling yard that specialized in used parts for European luxury cars. The auction included an extensive inventory of engines and transmissions, as well some rarer pieces, such as two dynamometers, and various lifts and other equipment. The sale brought nearly $1,000,000 with very competitive bidding. Check out this cool time-lapse video of the event.
Hilco, CBI to exhibit together at USETEC
Hilco and CBI will be presenting their current projects in a shared booth, joining other major European players from the used machinery and equipment industry, at Usetec in Cologne April 22-24, 2013. Approximately 500 exhibitors from over 20 countries will be showcasing at the fair, displaying machinery and equipment from a broad range of sectors such as metalworking and robotics, measuring and testing equipment, lifting appliances and conveyors, amongst others.

Hostess First Offering : 3,500+ Vehicles

February 12: As the first step in liquidating their assets after bankruptcy, Hostess asked Hilco to offer for sale more than 3,500 vehicles from their national fleet.
This offering included box trucks, pickup trucks, step vans, tractors and trailers, as well as dollies and yard jockeys.

Sparrows Point Auction Includes Much More Than Steel Handling
Sparrows Point is known as one of the largest steel making facilities in North America, so it’s not a surprise that this week’s two-day webcast auction includes huge capacity steel handling equipment like Paling transporters and Kress slab carriers. But what might come as a surprise is the large number of hand and power tools available that can be used in any small shop, or even at home.
Doing any remodeling? Reciprocating saws are invaluable for getting down to those studs. Cut intricate wood shapes with one of many band saws for sale.

The NES Rentals auction, scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 13 in Toledo, Ohio, is a live onsite auction with webcast. Buyers can register onsite the day of the auction or register now to participate in the webcast from their computer. The auction features:

Electro-Motive Auction Features Fabricating, Welding, Bridge Cranes
Hilco Industrial’s auction of assets from the Electro-Motive Diesel facility will take place this Thursday, December 6, in London, Ontario, Canada and online.
Owned by Progress Rail Services, a Caterpillar company, this facility includes nearly one thousand lots of metal fabricating, shotblasting, welding and plant support equipment. A large number of overhead cranes are also available, including Kone and Hepburn cranes with capacities up to 100 tons.
Among the offerings: A SuperMax YCM vertical machining center with a 24-station tool changer; also with Messeer and Komatsu plasma cutting systems, CNC turret punches and press brakes, shears, drills, tool grinders and more.
Several Lincoln and Miller welders will also be on the auction block, as well as a Wheelebrator plate cleaning system, dust collectors and paint booths.
Material handling and plant support equipment available includes shop trucks and carts, vacuum lifter, air compressors and much more.
